Truly bizarre, utterly unique
I’ve never read a novel quite like this before. The author takes you on an exciting adventure full of unforgettable and vivid imagery. Solidly written with each character’s personality shining through. If you find physics fascinating you will not be disappointed by the author’s keen intellect and clear understanding of this most challenging (for me anyway) scientific subject. This is not a novel I will forget anytime soon, I would highly recommend it.

The ATLAS Detector
Imagine the situation: a particle called a ‘cosmic monopole’ which has been wandering the universe since the Big Bang is finally trapped by the strong magnetic fields inside the gigantic ATLAS detector in CERN, Geneva.
Here it absorbs particles from the famous Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and became transformed into a black hole.
Impossible? Perhaps not. During the past few years many committees of scientists have reassured the public that no black holes could ever be created by mankind. Yet although physicists have been predicting the existence of monopoles since 1931, yet none has ever considered the possibility that one could be trapped by a detector at CERN.
So suppose a black hole was created in the ATLAS cavern 100 metres below the streets of Geneva; suppose that two men try to control the hole using a magnet and are absorbed; what would happen?
What if time stops everywhere in the universe except near mysterious fragments of blue crystal which come out of the black hole! What if a time tunnel opens up which leads back to the Big Bang! Can your imagination stretch this far?
That is the scenario of The Time Crystal, a multi-volume epic by Wyken Seagrave. The story will follow the characters as they travel back in time in a desperate attempt to save the universe. It is probably the first work of fiction ever to encompass the whole history of the universe.

“Not being a great fan of Science Fiction. This would rarely, if ever be found on my Kindle. However I was pleasantly surprised and hooked after the first few chapters.
The author describes the characters perfectly. I could visualise, hear and feel a real empathy with them. This novel is a definite page turner. I was eager to read what was going to happen next. I was never, once disappointed. There is a mixture of characters, relationships and emotions all packed into one book. Not what I would usually expect from such a novel. It would appeal to any reader.
Seagrave cleverly ends the novel – leaving the reader grasping for the next instalment. He promises us further novels and I eagerly and impatiently await the next novel.
